The Center for Comparative Conflict Studies (CFCCS) at the Faculty of Media and Communications (FMK), Singidunum University invites you to apply for the fifth Summer School in Comparative Conflict Studies. The 2014 Summer School will take place at the Faculty of Media and Communications in Belgrade, from June 30 to July 7, 2014
We are now receiving applications for the following four courses to choose from:
1. "Re-Imagining" the Balkans - Anthropological Inquiries into diversity, borders and migration
Dr. Jelena Tošić (University of Vienna, Austria)
2. Rethinking Transitional Justice: Lessons from the Balkans and Beyond
Dr. Olivera Simić (Griffith University, Australia)
3. From the discourse of brotherhood and unity to the discourses of EU integration: the case of "transition" in Serbia
Dr. Jelisaveta Blagojević (Faculty of Media & Communications (FMK), Serbia)
4. The challenge of International Intervention: Balancing justice and order
Dr. Maxine David (University of Surrey, UK)
Language instruction in all courses is English
We invite graduate students, advanced undergraduate students, NGO leaders and civil society activists from all countries to apply.
Reduced tuition is available for applicants from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia. This reduced tuition is also available for students from other conflict or post-conflict regions.
Full scholarship awarded by the European Fund for the Balkans is available for 10 strongest selected applicants from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia. Interested applicants should fill out the additional section in the application form when applying for this scholarship.
